The Manchester City striker was one of the most awarded players during the Professional Footballers’ Association Awards ceremony.
Erling Haaland
Erling Haaland has been brilliant since he joined Manchester City last year. In his first season with the team he scored an amazing total of 52 goals in 53 matches to help the team win the historic treble (Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup). He also broke the record for most goals in a Premier League season with 36 goals.
The 23 year-old Norwegian is without a doubt one of the best players in the world right now. UEFA selected him with Lionel Messi and Kevin De Bruyne in the shortlist nominated to win the UEFA Player of the Year Award. He’s also expected to compete with Messi for the next Ballon D’Or award.
Last night Haaland went to the PFA Awards gala as the big favorite to win the most prizes during a special night that awards the best players of the year in English football. And, as expected, the Manchester City striker was the most awarded in the evening.
