Neymar Jr and his luxuries in Saudi Arabia
Neymar and Arabia Saudita
The Brazilian star has made a significant impact at his new club. After a summer of uncertainty, Neymar Jr. signed with Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia following a completely strained relationship with PSG.
Considered by many as the third-best player in the world, Neymar achieved remarkable achievements and records positioning himself as a potential Champions League winner and captain of Brazil, among others. Therefore, his presentation and arrival in Saudi Arabia were truly memorable.
However, his arrival was memorable not only for the fans but also for the extravagance with which the Brazilian traveled to the Middle East. The former Paris Saint-Germain player recently faced criticism from the international press for his extravagant luxuries. It’s worth noting that Neymar traveled to Saudi Arabia on a Boeing 747 from Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal’s royal fleet. With this said, an aircraft of this size can easily accommodate up to 350 passengers. However, the only one’s that traveled was him and the rest of the crew.
Neymar has being accused of breaching environmental rules
Furthermore, he has also been criticized by environmentalists, such as Alejandro Cenrredo, who stated on Twitter that the amount of CO2 emissions produced by this type of plane of such caliber is highly detrimental to the environment. They even argue that using a private jet would have emitted less. In addition, this isn’t the first time ‘Ney’ has faced issues of this nature. A month ago, the Champions League winner with Barcelona was fined in Rio de Janeiro for the illegal construction of a private lake. Currently, Neymar is injured and without a set date for his debut in the Saudi Pro League.
