Jude Bellingham got into an argument with a Real Madrid fan while attempting to speak Spanish.
Bellingham, who joined Real Madrid for £88.5 million from Borussia Dortmund, made a dream start to his Real career, scoring in his team’s La Liga opener.
He scored his team’s second goal in a 2-0 win over Athletic Bilbao last weekend.
Following the game, the England international spoke about Real Madrid’s victory in Spanish.
During an exchange with a Real Madrid fan, the 20-year-old was also obliged to utilize Spanish.
A video shows him signing a shirt while speaking with a fan in broken Spanish from the passenger seat of a car.
Bellingham had just completed his generous act when he was given instructions on what to write on the shirt.
The driver of the automobile, the player’s mother, laughed when she looked over during the conversation.
Needless to say, the discussion between Bellingham and the Real fan caused a social media frenzy.
One Twitter user wrote: “Fair play on his composure there, actually think my head would’ve flown off.”
A second tweeted: “Am shattered after watching that.”
A third added: “The look on his mum’s face.”
A fourth joked: “Blud could’ve saved his time and learn some scouse instead.”
Another said: “His mum is watching.”
Bellingham is doing his best to learn Spanish, revealing Lucas Vasquez and Brahim Diaz are teaching him the language.
“Lucas Vazquez and Brahim Diaz are probably my biggest Spanish teachers,” he said during pre-season. “Everyone’s chipping in and teaching me bad words. I can’t wait to try them out!”
Real Madrid’s season begins on Saturday against Almeria, and the legendary midfielder will be back in action.
