Fans are confused as to why Erling Haaland was chosen to be the cover star of EA Sports FC 2024 despite the fact that he has a new hairstyle and a distinct fashion sense that stole the show when he was revealed.
Erling Haaland went to the formal reveal of EA Sports FC to celebrate the fact that he was featured on the cover of the game, but many people could not understand what he was wearing.
The striker for both Manchester City and Norway has been selected to appear on the front cover of the new video game; this marks the first time that the game has ever been released without being linked with FIFA. The 22-year-old performed an entrance in the style of WWE in front of an appreciative crowd in Amsterdam, but spectators at home picked up on something else.
One of the audience members commented on social media, “Haaland with dreads and in his pyjamas, what am I seeing?” “Haaland showed up to the FC24 Premier in his pyjamas, he really doesn’t rate it,” a second person remarked.
“Haaland rocks up in his pyjamas and says the cover ‘isn’t bad’ I can’t with this guy,” said a third.
“Haaland wearing his f***ing pyjamas hahahah,” said a fourth.
It’s not the first time Haaland has been spotted in designer comfies, most recently when City celebrated their Treble in a local restaurant.
The game’s cover, which depicts Haaland striking the ball during his five-goal haul against RB Leipzig, has also received negative feedback.
Following the conclusion of their cooperation, EA Sports has emerged from FIFA’s shadow.
However, the developers have obtained licenses from nearly 19,000 players, 700 clubs, and 100 stadiums.
The game will be launched on September 29, following the start of the new season, with the Ultimate Edition cover depicting 30 iconic players.
Fans have also criticized this, with one stating, “Hold up… Some of these players don’t resemble them at all.”
Haaland has been enjoying his summer break away from the sport with his partner.
The Treble winner has been soaking up every moment with Isabel Johansen, grinning while on their St Tropez vacation.
Haaland, who scored 52 goals in 53 games in his rookie season with City, may have frightened supporters about a potential injury while water skiing.
