Children from Heaven: A couple who have been trying to have children for ten years throw a party in honor of their quadruplets.

The quadruplets pictured here turned one year old yesterday; They were born a year ago and will go down in medical history as pioneers. After ten years of trying to start a family, British couple Justin and Christine Clark had all but given up. They wanted to try IVF one last time before giving up on starting a family. And not only did it prevail, but the results were extraordinary!

There is a one in four thousand chance that a pair of quadruplets like Caroline, Darcy, Alexis and Elisha will be born to just one child. According to the Daily Mail, the Clarks’ misfortune began when Christine put on her tutus, which promptly broke into three pieces.

“Even some doctors find it hard to believe,” Justin told the newspaper at the birth of his children.

“It was an incredible year that went by,” said the 44-year-old father. “The first night at home was a disaster, all four of them were crying and everyone wanted to eat all the time. I’d like to say it got easier over time, but that wouldn’t be true.”

Christine’s hospitalization at 24 weeks and subsequent delivery at 30 weeks occurred as planned. I tried to get within 24 inches of them all day, but to no avail. “It was very challenging,” she said. They took me directly to the Intensive Care Unit. The kicking babies had me breathing through my mouth. And Justin showed me 253 of them.

Christine was discharged a week later, while the girls remained in the unit for a further nine weeks.

This whole situation is now history. The children had their first birthday party and yesterday they blew out the candles.
