Netflix has officially announced that The Thursday Murder Club will premiere on Thursday, August 28, 2025. This film adaptation of Richard Osman’s bestselling novel is directed by Chris Columbus and features a star-studded cast, including Helen Mirren as Elizabeth Best, Pierce Brosnan as Ron Ritchie, Ben Kingsley as Ibrahim Arif, and Celia Imrie as Joyce Meadowcroft.
The story follows four spirited retirees in a U.K. retirement community who spend their time solving cold-case murders, only to find themselves entangled in a real-life mystery.
The ensemble cast also includes David Tennant, Naomi Ackie, Jonathan Pryce, Daniel Mays, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Richard E. Grant, Tom Ellis, Ingrid Oliver, and Sarah Niles. Filming took place in England, primarily at Shepperton Studios, and wrapped up in September 2024.
