Tottenham and Chelsea locked in talks to sign £25m attacker who could be the next Neymar

Tottenham and Chelsea will be in the market to improve their options in the final third this summer with both clubs seemingly looking at bringing younger players in, before they are the finished article.

Last summer, Spurs signed Brennan Johnson, Manor Solomon and Alejo Veliz were all bought to improve options in the final third – but also, under the age of 23. Chelsea similar, among their many additions.

Cole Palmer, Nicolas Jackson, Angelo, Deivid Washington and Diego Moreira were signed. All attacking players, all under 23. That ethos is likely to remain in the summer, at both London clubs – signing young.

Chelsea and Tottenham in talks to sign Antonio Nusa

Club Brugge attacker Antonio Nusa, 19, almost joined Brentford in January with a £25m fee agreed. The winger has already won five caps for Norway, impressing at the Europa Conference League semi-finalists.

Despite at the tender age of 19, he has already played 74 games – having a hand in 12 goals – eight of which have come in his 38 games this season. The young winger is rapid, and boasts a bag of tricks.

That has not only attracted the interest of Brentford, but Tottenham and Chelsea too. Indeed, Goal say that Tottenham and Chelsea, who have already been linked, are both locked in talks to land Nusa.

Nusa has been compared to Neymar by an old teammate

Spurs are likely to wave goodbye to Bryan Gil in the summer, while Veliz could go out on loan again after struggling to make an impact over at Sevilla on loan. Chelsea have options, but plenty are likely to depart.

Nusa is being targeted then – with his form both domestically and in Europe catching the eye. So much so that he has been compared to Brazilian legend Neymar, by his former Stabaek teammate Mats Solheim.

Which club is his best move? Well, both Mauricio Pochettino and Ange Postecoglou have a faith in youth – but Spurs are likely to be in Europe and that will give Nusa more chance of game time next season.
