Neymar Jr. will be back on a football pitch soon as September looks to be the month of his return. The number 10 of Al Hilal and the former number 10 of Brazil are attending Brazil’s matches at the Copa America, which is taking place in the United States. Neymar is supportive of the team since he can’t play with them this summer. While he seems happy to get closer to his return, things were not the same a couple of months ago as Neymar admits it was tough on him and considered even quitting football for good! Neymar said, “Obviously, when I got injured, everything went through my head like I had to stop playing. I almost did that, but my friends didn’t let me, neither did my family. And nowadays, I already see a light at the end of the tunnel, so what I want is to go back, and play well, I miss being on the field. There at Al Hilal, I trained in the gym and watched my teammates train there, I really missed it, but I’m back now.”

Neymar is very supportive of the Brazilian players on the national team and makes sure the pressure doesn’t affect Rodrygo or Vinicius Jr., who are the next stars in Brazil. Neymar said, “They know the affection I have for each one of them, I keep sending them messages and wishing them good luck. I spoke with Vini and Rodrygo before the UCL final and also after they won because in addition to the great players these boys are, they’re humans, they are boys who just want to be happy and I love them so much, I will always root for them.”

The Brazilian national team has a lot of pressure in the Copa America this summer after not-so-convincing performances in the friendlies ahead of the tournament. Brazil did not have a great start in Copa America as they drew 0-0 against Costa Rica.

Brazil will be taking on Paraguay at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Neymar will be watching the match in the stands. Brazil needs a win to get closer to the next round.
