Real Madrid increasingly disinterested amid continued talk of a Kylian Mbappe move

Few now believe the Frenchman and his remarks. Real Madrid is and will be a mere spectator to everything surrounding the striker’s future.

It’s back to square one for the French international striker, Kylian Mbappe, whose Paris Saint-Germain clattered out of this season’s Champions League campaign to Bayern Munich with a 3-0 aggregate loss to the Bavarian side.

Is Mbappe looking for the exit door again?

Talk of a potential move to Real Madrid has risen to the surface once again, as it has done for some six years now. The saga culminated in the eventual collapse of a potential transfer to Real Madrid which was allegedly signed and sealed in Los Angeles at the time.

The Madrid side has been left increasingly indifferent as the Mbappe rumors and remarks roll on, becoming acutely aware that his demeanour may not suit the club’s philosophy.

The French striker’s unbelievable talent cannot be denied, he is a differential player, however much of the chemistry and novelty of his presence seems to have faded as he once again casts doubts over his PSG future.

Real Madrid tired of the Mbappe soap opera

The feeling in Valdebebas is one of disinterest as the option of an Mbappe transfer remains a slight possibility. While a move has not been ruled out at any point, it is evident that Real Madrid will not jeopardise the development of the 23-24 squad in order to bring him in.

The Spanish club has been weathered by the events of the last two years which saw Mbappe and his team pull out of the nearly finalized move to Madrid.

The Champions League holders do not plan to negotiate with Qatar over a move for the Frenchman this summer as they know that PSG would never make negotiations easy, as was the case in the summer of 2021.

The Benzema situation

Benzema’s current condition is a worry for the club as it remains up in the air whether he will be the Real Madrid no.9 next season.

Speculation has been fuelled by the striker’s absences this season and ongoing injury issues.

However, speculation is the extent of it and, unless the French striker or the club states otherwise, his place remains at Real Madrid.

Decisions regarding the players whose contracts are close to expiration will be made in April, of which there are seven.

Mariano will almost certainly be shown the exit door but, as it stands, that is the only confirmed departure from the club.
