Brave homeless Dog Finds A Stray Kitten On The Street, Nurses Her and Saves Her Life

Police Officer Michelle Smith of Anderson Animal Control in South Carolina received a call that a stray pet had actually been barking for hours, as if trying to get the interest of someone.

Officer Smith went to the scene to see what was going on. When she got here, she was surprised by the sight before her.

Along all-time low of the canyon’s embankment, a roaming dog is tending to a kitten!

Smith knew she could not leave the dog as well as kittycat there alone, or they would not make it through. So she picked them both up and took them to a neighborhood shelter.

The dog, a five-year-old Shih Tzu, was really careful with the kitty, acting like her mommy. The kittycat is calmed by the pet dog’s hug, and also the two are inseparable.

One of the most amazing things is that this pet is really nursing and has the ability to feed kittycats legally! Although the pet did not give birth, her lactation was the result of a “false pregnancy.”

The pseudo maternity, or called false pregnancy, can simulate symptoms of a true pregnancy, including mammary gland enlargement with or without the manufacturing of milk.

In this pet dog’s instance, she developed milk, which is the sole factor this kitten endured. The pet actually saved this kitten’s life.
